So its been a week since i've arrived. My body has pretty much adapted to the time zone (or forced to now, since i'm sick and now sleep till later)
I'm either gettign use tot he weather, OR the humidity has dropped xDD
i'm sweating less now anyways.
I think i'm going to go "WAH! SO DRY!!!" when i come back to aust xD
anyways, today i decided to visit the other 2 musuems that has an entry fee (despite it only being $10HKD (less than $2AUD) I know its very cheap, but my mind still hasn't adjusted to the norms of HK prices. My mind is still stuck in aussie price, so it doesn't register a '2', it registers then '10'
Oh well, today i went to the HK Space musuem and the HK Musuem of Art.
I didn't have much high hope for the space musuem, but they did have some interesting things.
They had a 'moon walk' simulator. It looked like fun, it was kinda fun. Except i wanted more...
basically you're strapped to a harness, and thats suppose to act as the gravity counterer.
here's a VERY blurry pic of the harness from the outside.
So, from the harness, is attached to a platform overhead, and that is most likely a spring or hydraulic pump causing slow 'falling'.
So, after that, they had a hang-glider simulation. And in it, you collect butterfly, wasps, condors to gather points in the Grand Canyon.
That was kinda fun, despite how poorly i done xD I didn't take a picture of it, dunno why.
There was also this gyroscope based ride. I didn't sit on it, since i had done mechanics 2...
Well there was also this "aim the satellite points with your space vehicle" so basically its this char crate thing, thats powered by gases (it would be in space) with a laser on top shining onto the wall, so you gotta aim the laser to the center of these lil lights. It was a good and probably the most fun for me, except for one bloody annoying thing.
The friggin up switch is dodged. Seriously you have to press down REALLY hard to activate it, wheere as the others, work with gentle taps, it really screws up the finesse of control. there's the pic.
Those were the main rides, so aside from the lil facts and info, it was alright.
There was also a display mentioning how they done this experiment of a sealed object and that i'td still survive, and this sphere they done had survived, and created its own ecosystem similiar to earths.
It'd be seal sinced 1991.
The second pic has a small fish in it.
However, the ASTRONOMY part was more interesting to me.
It got stuff on constellations and yea. xD
and this was the only constellation pic i took coz it was the coolest xD
I also took pics of this large solar system representation.
The first pic has a woman pointing, which i didn't see until the pic was taken AFTER 6_6
waste my battery why don't she?
After that, i had lunch.
it was about 1 and i'm hungry, i decided to eat some japanese since its been a while.
SO i went downstairs to have a pork cutlet bentou set.
here's a pic xD
After lunch, i walked around the mall that it was in, and i found this cool compact foldable bike =D It just looked cooler than your regular folding bike xD
While i was finding lunch, i had also walked through the Cultural Theatre, and saw this cool looking thing on the wall.
So after lunch, i walked back to go into the Hong Kong Musuem of Art. On the way, i saw the olympic mascots and sculptures on the way.
I'll put more of their lil pics at the bottom of this post. Really sorry for slow connection people.
So, here's the entrance to the art musuem i went in. Unfortunately, i'm not allowed to take pics. So thats all i can take.
However, even without taking pics, i must say. The Art Musuem is my favourite one so far. The top level had ink paintings, the level below that was on chinese Antiques. The level below that was the special exhibition on horses, with digital art (this was interesting, there was one piece where you could physically interact with it. Another piece was one where you send a sms to them and it activates. THere was another one which was a movie clip with human creations and innovations and our society depicted by creatures.
I wouldn't going back to rewatch that clip, since i had only watched from somewhere in the middle. The level below that was more antiues xD it was also the shopping store, and they had Gold and Jade exhibition there. For people who like to go to art galleries, i definitely recommend the Hong Kong Musuem of Art.
Outside the art musuem they had some sculptures which i took pics of. (i am out of the musuem now)
Also, a boat happened to pass by and i took a pic of that too
I also took some of the coastline on the other side.
Also, just outside the cultural theatre thingy, they had this show on. Lil kids doing classical chinese theatre plays =D
i was only there for 2, as the day was late and i needed to go home for dinner.
Anyways, i've used a lot of your time and bandwidth already.
So before i finish off, i'll post some MORE pics

Have fun guys!
