Day 4: HK

So we've reached the 4th Day,

i had once again woken up early, about 7ish.
Had something diff for breakfast (slightly)
combination congee and this (picture)

Later on in the day, my cousin brought me to Tsim Sha Tsui. There, he took me to the Hong Kong Museum of Science.

This is the entrance to the musuem.

Opposite the Science Musuem is the History musuem, but that was closed today

I didn't get to go through the entire musuem as we had reached there about 4pm. However, i did grab a 7-day Pass. So i can revisit it, or visit the other ones.
The Art, Tea Ware interest me the most right now, but that doesn't mean i won't visit hte others ^_^

Here's some pics from the Museum of Science.

This apparently is how much an average HK person eats in a year. approx 990Kg.

They also had this wicked classic chinese boat =D

Some close ups of the boat

They also had this cool contraption that spanned 3 levels, except the photos seemed messy so i'm not posting it up.

Also along the way to the musuem, i had found a park in the middle of the city, thats something i don't see in the city of Sydney much.

i'm getting abit lazy at all this img posting, plus i don't want to harm the people on slow connections, as i have yet to figure out how to do a teaser post with a 'continue'. i'm not even sure if blogspot supports such a thing.
It better... otherwise it's losing a potential customer

But anyways, after that we had some KFC.
Lets list a few things that HK KFC differ to AUST KFC
1a) Aust uses cardboard boxes and cups that we throw away
1b) HK uses plastic baskets and cups when you're eating-in.

2b) HK has portugese egg tarts. it's pretty decent.

3b) HK has this new pepper lime thingy.

4b) Snazzy tables and seating

After that, we went to Sony Style, (its equivalent to australia's Sony Central). And there, and ONLY there i purchased my Sony Hi-MD MZ-RH1 =DDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and so forth.
Yes yes i know, MDs are old, crappy, extinct, not popular.
Yes i know there are mp3 players around at much cheaper prices.
Yes i know that MP4's are on the rise to overtake the mp3s
Yes i know Ipods and their families exist.
And so forth.
However, my old Net MD player had broke down with me still having about 15 blank MDs sitting there. Plus Hi-MDs can serve as an external drive, i mean why not?
I'm still fans of portable media xD

What one thing funy about this is that, there was about 6 manuals. 5 of them are in other european languages which i can't read or speak. and one in english. none in chinese or japanese. So essentially more than half the paper that was printed was worthless to me. It looked so nice too.
But since i need to go on the plane back to Australia, with only a 20kg limit. I need to lighten my load as much as i can.

Aside from that, my camera now holds more than 50 pictures =D

On a last comment, in their metro they have glass windows/doors/walls between the platform and the actual metro. Yes a very smart idea, and insanely cool imo, but i just like to mention it, as well as the spacious environment inside the train.

Since i've posted enough pics on the actual post, i'll place a link to my photo bucket folder

So, over and out ;)
